How To Make a Cameo Barrette with Rosettes
1/9You Will Need
Plastic Barrette
Pretty ribbon or sparkly fabric trim cut to the same length as your barrette
Flat-backed cameo
Rhinestones
Hot glue gun
All-purpose glue
2/9Place Glue On Barrette
Plug in and heat up your glue gun, but be careful! Once the gun is warmed up, squeeze a thin line of glue along the length of the barrette.
3/9Lay The Ribbon Or Trim
Lay the ribbon or trim along the barrette, and press it down until the glue cools.
4/9Plan Your Rosette Design
Work out a strategy for how you're going to place your rosettes. You want the rosette design to be symmetrical on both sides. When you've worked out your design, place a small dot of glue where the first rosette will go, and apply the rosette, holding it in place until the glue cools.
5/9Apply The Red Rosettes
Repeat the same process all the way down the barrette with the bright colored flowers.
6/9Glue The Cameo On
Use the glue gun to deposit a small glob of glue in the center of the barrette. Quickly, lay the cameo onto the glue, and hold it in place until it sets.
7/9Apply The Gold Rosettes
Next, attach the metal flowers using either the hot glue gun, or the all-purpose craft glue to get in to smaller spaces.
8/9Attach Rhinestones
Finally, apply a dab of all-purpose glue on the back of a rhinestone, and attach it near the cameo. Repeat this step with additional rhinestones until you get the effect you want. Allow the glue to dry overnight, and you're done!
