"For teens, a soft, silvery, smoky eye is fresher than traditional black," notes McGrath. she gave models at Balenciaga the same smoldering look.

"An unexpected color—like the lavender I used at Bottega Veneta—can give a simple style a strong point of view," says McGrath. To create the look, she applied cream pencil and, for longer-lasting results, set the color with a powder eye shadow in the same hue.
