    triple threat

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is a hip-hop mogul, fashion designer, and now a giving philanthropist? He recently designed a limited-edition silk scarf to raise awareness about Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that helps disadvantaged women gain financial independence. We support that mission wholeheartedly and love that 100% of the scarf sale proceeds will go to that worthy cause. Plus, we know that the burnt orange, royal blue and gold pattern will provide a trendy pop of color this spring.

    Fashionable Fiction

Looking for spring break reading material? Melissa Walker, a former fashion editor, has released her second novel in a three-part series called . The story features an eighteen-year-old model named Violet who hails from North Carolina but struts down international runways. Walker’s understanding of the fashion industry ensures this fictional tale is packed with details that are both accurate and fresh. And the book’s protagonist Violet is one fashionista you’ll have fun following abroad.

In the Eye of the Beholder

Sold at drugstores, Maybelline's Great Lash mascara has been an industry and celebrity favorite for years. It is compact and lightweight and is known for leaving a clean, clump-free finish on your lashes.

    Cheek Mate

Tarte’s Full Blossom Cheek Stain comes in a mess-free push-up gel stick. The product is sheer, not glossy, and although it may seem bright in its packaging, the tint is perfectly natural-looking once dotted on your "apples" and blended. We’ve come to prefer Tarte’s stick form to standard powder blushes because the gel texture is very workable and extra moisturizing for spring weather.

Tarte’s Cheek Stain in Full Blossom, about $28. Sephora.com.

    Shoe Polish

Strappy open-toe sandals are always welcomed back for springtime. And this pair looks extra comfy with its thicker, square heel and wide ankle strap. Cool gray patent leather and a geometric silver buckle will ensure your feet stand out when you're strutting down the sidewalk.

    BCBGirls patent-leather sandal, about $98, Select Macy's.
