How To Make A Pair Of Glitter Heart Shorts
1/8You Will Need
-Denim shorts
-Glitter fabric paint with a clear base
-Red super-fine glitter
-Paintbrush
-Plastic disposable plate
-Pencil
-Sheet of paper
-X-Acto knife
2/8Draw Hearts
Start by drawing hearts in different sizes and at different angles all over one half of the sheet of paper. You want the hearts to be relatively small.
3/8Cut Out Hearts
Using the X-Acto knife, carefully cut the hearts out of the paper to make your stencil.
4/8Check The Stencil
Your stencil should look like this!
5/8Mix Fabric Paint With Glitter
Pour a glob of fabric paint onto your plastic plate, and then add a large heap of red glitter on top. Mix this together with your paintbrush. You want the texture to be thick, but not too grainy.
6/8Paint The Stencil On The Shorts
Lay your stencil over one side of the front of your shorts, and apply the glitter/paint mixture over the hearts in a thin layer. Don't use too much paint or it will seep out around the bottom of the stencil.
7/8Continue To Paint The Stencil On
Repeat the same process on the other half of the shorts. Let the shorts dry for about a half an hour, then flip them over and paint the stencil onto the back of the shorts. Allow your shorts to dry completely, and then wear them with pride!
