How To Make Marbled Painted Glasses
1/9What You Need
-Plain, inexpensive glasses
-Various nail polish colors, including nail art polish
-Masking tape
-Toothpicks
2/9Cover Lenses With Tape
Tear small pieces of tape and cover the lenses of the glasses on both sides. Press the tape into the edge of the lenses where they meet the frame, and use extra care around the tight curves.
3/9Paint On First Polish Color
Begin painting in large drops with the first polish color, working on one area of the frame.
4/9Paint On Second Color
Using a second color, paint large drops right up against the first color.
5/9Paint On Third Color
Repeat with a third color.
6/9Drag Toothpick Through Polish
Drag a toothpick through the wet polish, blending and swirling the colors to create a marbled painterly effect. Fill in any empty areas with another color, and blend with a toothpick.
7/9Work Way Around Frame
Continue working around the frames in the same fashion, varying the order your apply the colors and the size of the shapes you paint.
8/9Paint Lines Of Color
Once the frames are covered, paint short straight lines of color with the nail art polish on top of the colorful base.
9/9The Finished Glasses
Allow the polish to dry completely, then carefully remove the tape from the lenses.
