How to Make Tassel-Drop Earrings
1/13Tie Knots Around the Loop
Cut two foot-long pieces of floss, and tie a knot around each end of the loop.
2/13What You Need
-Embroidery floss in three colors
-A sheet of gold vinyl
-Pom-pom trim
-Earring fish hooks
-Craft glue
-Toothpicks
-A pair of scissors
-A yarn needle
3/13Cut the Loop in Half
Holding the two ends apart, cut the loop in half to create fringe for two tassels. Make sure you don't cut the tied knots!
4/13Roll and Glue the Vinyl
Roll the vinyl into a cone shape, and carefully glue along the seam.
5/13Create the Rest of the Tassels
Repeat with the other colors of floss for a total of six tassels. Set them aside.
6/13Cut a Vinyl Shape
Cut a small trapezoid shape from the vinyl.
7/13Cut Pom-Poms
Cut two pom-poms from the trim.
8/13Create Vinyl Cones
Repeat the vinyl steps five times, varying the width and angle of the cones. Trim the cones so the bottoms are even.
9/13Thread the Tassels
Thread a tassel through each cone.
10/13Thread Tassels onto the Needle
Thread one of each color tassel onto the needle, and sew through a pom-pom.
11/13Affix the Earring Fish Hook
Thread through the hole of the earring fish hook, and sew back down into the pom-pom.
12/13Knot and Trim the Threads
Knot the threads and trim them. You can also trim the tassel fringe if needed. Repeat on the second earring.
13/13The Finished Earrings
