How To Make A Tulle Polka Dot Sweatshirt
1/11What You Need
-Sweatshirt
-About a quarter yard of tulle fabric
-Fabric scissors
-Fabric glue
-A permanent marker in a color slightly darker than the tulle
-Two circle shapes, one slightly larger than the other (you can use stencils, jar tops, cups, or any round object)
2/11Continue Tracing Circles
Repeat on the other side of the collar to complete the top row of dots. On the next row, trace three circles with the center circle space evenly between the two on the top row. Repeat until you have covered the sweatshirt with rows of dots.
3/11Cut Out Circles
Carefully cut out each circle.
4/11Trace Large Circle On Tulle
Fold the tulle twice so it is four layers thick, and trace the large circle shape. The marker will mark all the layers.
5/11Continue Tracing On Tulle
Trace the circle shape a few more times, leaving a little space between each circle.
6/11Apply Glue
With the sweatshirt still inside out, apply a thin line of glue around the outside of the cutout circle.
7/11Cut Out Tulle Circles
Cut out the tulle circles.
8/11Place Tulle Over Sweatshirt Circle
Carefully place a tulle circle over the cut opening, and press into place.
9/11Continue Gluing Tulle Circles
Repeat, gluing a tulle circle over all the cutout circles. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly before turning the sweatshirt right side out.
10/11The Finished Sweatshirt
11/11Trace Small Circle
Turn the sweatshirt inside out. Place the smaller circle below the collar, off to one side, and trace it.
