Megan Thee Stallion Announces Social Media Hiatus

Megan Thee Stallion is taking some time to recharge.

The expert “Hot Girl” shared three mysterious Instagram posts earlier this week, each with a very intergalactic vibe. At first glance, it might have seemed like Meg was teasing a new album or era, but the third post contained an important message for fans letting them know that the rapper is going to be taking some time for herself.

“Megan Thee Stallion is recharging!” the computer-typed message said. “Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle, Meg has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next.” The announcement went on to read that her management will continue to post on her social media channels on her behalf while she takes time to reboot. “Thee Hotties lead a brave RESISTANCE in anticipation for the return of their Fearless Captain.”

Accompanying the messages were images of Megan resting in a glass cylinder, as though she were entering a period of deep hibernation in the most sci-fi way possible. Okay, we are intrigued!!

Megan has certainly accomplished a lot in the past year, from a glamorous Calvin Klein campaign to a perfect collab with Doja Cat and Ariana Grande—not to mention her recent historic win at the 2021 Grammy Awards last month. If anyone deserves a restful hiatus, it’s the Hot Girl Captain herself, and it's always important to take time to recharge—award-winning celeb or not. We have no doubt that whatever Meg is cooking, it’s going to be exciting and well worth the wait. As the rapper explained on Twitter, she’ll “be back when it’s time.” Whenever Meg is ready, well, her faithful Hotties will be too.
